About Malav
Malav is a Munich based activewear brand founded by Mery and Oguz. Born from a desire to create what didn’t exist. Malav is the result of a three-year journey driven by creativity, self-expression and a belief that the clothes you move in should feel a unique as you do.
The Story behind Malav
When I first discovered Pilates, I wasn’t looking for a new workout. I was looking for something that would help me feel at home in my own body again. After struggling with body image for years, I wanted movement that felt gentle, empowering, and never like punishment.
But while I fell in love with Pilates, I could never find clothing that felt like me. Everything looked the same. I wanted pieces that felt elevated but playful, inspired by the Y2K aesthetic I grew up loving and something that allowed me to express my personality instead of blending in.
One evening on a vacation, I shared this idea with my husband. We couldn’t stop
talking about it and that conversation became the beginning of Malav.
During that trip, I kept coming back to one thing: the hibiscus flower. No matter its color or shape, it always gave me the same feeling of warmth, lightness and reminded me, that blooming looks different for everyone.
That feeling became the heart of Malav.

From the first idea during a vacation to our final samples, Malav was shaped through years of testing, refining and choosing not to compromise.

The idea for Malav was born during our vacation, where the search for unique activewear turned into the vision for something of our own.
2024
Bring The Vision To Life
Together with our designer, we began bringing our vision to life. We wanted every piece to feel effortless to mix and match while giving you the freedom to express your own style. Inspired by the bold, playful energy of Y2K, we carefully refined every color, fit, and detail.
2025
Choosing Quality Over Convenience
After more than a year of development, we realized our first manufacturer was not delivering the level of quality we wanted. So we made the difficult decision to start over and keep searching.
2026
Time To Bloom
After years of refining every detail, we finally found a production partner who shared our standards and our vision. Our first collection is the result of patience, intention and a promise to never compromise.
